My husband and I ended our 2 week vacation in Waikiki in this unit. It was a great choice. I don't normally rent a unit unseen however I was assured by the owner that it would be everything that was advertised. Despite all my fear and intrepidation the unit was great and exactly as shown and described on the vrbo website. Location is perfect and being that we are very familiar with Waikiki this venue was perfect. We arrived Friday and were able to take in the fireworks show from the Hilton and that was a great show. We enjoyed the access to Outrigger next door and the beach. The proximity to the action was an asset to how we chose this location to stay here. The AC is perfect and given we need a cool room for sleep the unit served us well. The white noise from the AC was also great as this area is a busy area in Waikiki. I have rented many places in Waikiki and there are no "quiet" zones unless you are off the grid by many blocks or down in the Diamond head area. This is a large busy city and along with a busy city comes the city buzz. The lanai is perfect to sit and have a "cold one" in the afternoon after the beach/pool activites and before a dinner out. Donna was a great host with respect to being an owner who responded to questions in a timely fashion. We would certainly come back. Thank you Donna for this rental.
Such a gem! You simply will not find a better condo to rent in Waikiki than this one. The owner made booking the condo so easy and affordable. The pictures of the unit are exactly what you get once you arrive - beautifully furnished, all the amenities, and the building literally sits on the beach in Waikiki. Located on the 7th floor, the lanai looks over Fort DeRussy and the beach so the condo is quiet and peaceful. Everything you need to cook meals is provided including a rice cooker, dishes, pot and pans, utensils, gas stovetop and oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, coffeemaker, etc. The bathroom is very large with a terrific shower/tub and huge closet (with hangers and private safe) and the best part - a stacked washer and dryer (with clothes soap!) that we used quite often the week we visited. The bed was super comfortable and the linens and pillows were great (better than at home!) and the condo has ample drawer space and cabinets. In addition, there's an iron and ironing board, as well as a large flat-screen TV and quiet air conditioner - everything that just made things feel very comfortable and homey. Waikiki Shores, where this condo is located, is right across the street from Beachwalk, a fabulous collection of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Beachwalk has become the "heart" of Waikiki and is a terrific place to eat, drink, shop and have a great time when not on the beach. We loved Doraku Sushi, Island Vintage Coffee, and Roy's (of course!). We also used the concierge at Waikiki Shores to book a couple of excursions which we enjoyed immensely - snorkeling/dolphins/turtles with E O Wai'anae and horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch. The concierge also booked a rental car for us for 2 days at rates far less than what we found on the internet. And even though Waikiki Shores is not a new building, it is immaculate and beautifully well maintained. Their housekeeping and maintenance staffs were superb. All in all, we LOVED this condo and will be back to rent again soon.
My husband and I were married on Maui and ended our honeymoon in this condo. Literally, steps to the ocean and in the heart of the Waikiki shopping district. The condo itself was roomy, and well furnished with incredible views. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the lanai overlooking the ocean and the park at Fort DeRussy. The bed was super comfy and the a/c worked a treat, which was greatly needed due to an unusual heat wave! Check in service was very easy and we'd highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a getaway to Waikiki Beach!

This condo was spectacular! Right off the beach was perfect! Very roomy condo, very clean. The bed was comfortable. Walking distance from many shops, restaurants, bars & stores to buy food if you don't want to eat out. Great location great condo overall.
Fantastic location in a modern, pristine condo. Walking distance (200 yards) to the best HI restaurant (Le Mer) and physically connected to the Outrigger. You cannot do better than this for a Hawaiian location. I will definitely be back!
We spent a week at the Wakiki Shores and enjoyed this clean beautiful studio. The view is excellent of the beach as well as Wakiki skyline and mountains. Having the green area outside and close location to shopping and restaurants was superb! We would recommend this unit and stay there again!
We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful fully renovated studio very much. In terms of location - very close to the beach, has a great view from the balcony and is within a short walking distance from the centre of Waikiki. We wish to thank the owner for making such accommodation available to holidaymakers like my wife and me. Definitely recommend this studio and hope to stay there again next year.
The location couldn't be better- right on the beach, within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants within Waikiki. The condo itself is beautiful, clean, and had access to a parking stall included in the price which was very helpful. Overall wonderful stay!
I came to Waikiki for a wedding and was very happy with the location and amenities of this studio condo. It was just me, but it would have worked perfect for both my husband and I as well. Good sized bathroom with stacking washer & dryer. The main studio room was very adequate with small kitchenette. Being up on the 7th floor gives you a wonderful view of beach and ocean with the adjoining park and army museum grounds next door. It's quite nice having the open space outside your veranda. This was a nicely updated unit. It was conveniently located to a shopping center across the street with restaurants and shops, plus there are two little teriyaki style take out spots right outside on the beach side. The nicest ABC store I've visited is down the street across from the Halekulani, with a kitchen and fresh food daily. The only things I noted for improvement are the directions for both WIFI and TV did not work and had to call for help on each. There is an ironing board but I could not find an iron (not that I needed one), and you are supposed to leave the room key in the room upon departure. This is complicated as you need to use the fob on the key to operate the elevator going up or down, so getting your luggage down is a little complicated. I took my suitcase down to the lobby and then went back and left the key and returned down the stairs, but if you were handicapped in anyway 7 flights may not work for you.
We have rented many condos and stayed in many locations and this one is at the top of our list. It was clean and well maintained. The lanai overlooks the park, beach and takes in the boating activities and sunsets. Location was right in the middle of all activities including restaurants, shops and entertainment. The Fort DeRussy Museum is right next door and a must to see. Overall we would rank this stay among the very best!!
It was everything as promised. The condo was very clean and well stocked. The bed is very comfortable and everything looked very new and well kept. The location is the best, you can find in Waikiki and the beach in front of the condo is not so much overcrowded as the rest of Waikiki Beach. The view from the lanai is amazing. We hope, that we can come back one day.
Stayed 3 nights at the condo - stopover from San Francisco to Brisbane, Australia to break up the long trip home. It was everything as promised – Walter was great and made the check in easy. The condo was very clean, and well stocked - the bed very comfortable and everything looked very new and well kept. The location is the best you can find in Waikiki and being up on the 7th floor gives you a wonderful view of beach and ocean with the adjoining park and army museum grounds next door. It's quite nice having the open space outside your veranda and listening to the sound of the surf at night plus the wonderful sunsets. Fantastic view of the fireworks on Friday night from the lanai. Within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants and an ABC store is just down the street with a kitchen and fresh food daily. Also having the Outrigger Reef Beach Resort next door and use of their pool and facilities is a bonus – the Shore Bird restaurant here was great value for dinner and also the happy hour. Will be staying there again next time I pass through Hawaii. Overall wonderful stay!
Situated above the trees of Fort Derussey, the balcony affords the best relaxing breakfast spot, and a totally uninhibited sunset view. Small but adequate space to relax and have a good night's sleep. Excellent location for Waikiki restaurants and action. Pictures accurately represent the unit. Clean and well kept. Night lights from Outrigger hotel next door were intrusive on the east windows, but we hung some clothes over the windows to block the light and was not bothered by them. We were very pleased with our choice to stay here.
We enjoyed this condo very much. It was in close proximity to the beach and lots of great places to eat. The condo itself was fine. Clean and comfortable. I can't really speak to whether or not it was a particularly great deal because we really have nothing else to compare it to but we certainly got exactly what we thought we were going to get. The photos are pretty accurate. We mostly did our own cooking or brought food in. The views from the lanai are spectacular so we ate most of our meals out there!
Very nice unit with terrific view. Location couldn't be better - 2 blocks from Beach Walk shops and restaurants. Bus stop 1/2 a block away.
This studio was well presented. The bathroom is large and the kitchenette adequate for small meal and snack preparation. The washer and dryer mean you can pack light. Maid service included every 3 days as was full use of the Reef Hotel's facilities. The Air conditioner and ceiling fan are very efficient. The view is stunning and during the wee hours of the morning you can hear the waves washing up on Waikiki beach. I would recommend this studio to singles and happy couples. The location is great, being a short walk to great restaurants, bars, shops, banks, and the bus stop. I would definitely stay here again if I can get a reservation.. My interaction and transactions with the owner went smoothly with no problems at all. Book early for this one.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this property. It was newly renovated, extremely comfortable and centrally located. The bed was very comfortable and the other facilities provided in this property were excellent. Overall, I would highly recommend this property
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment to end our holiday in hawaii. It is perfectly located on the beach and is very quiet adjacent to the park meaning you can go to sleep to the sounds of the waves making this the perfect waikiki paradise. The apartment is spacious, airy, well appointed and a wonderful,place to stay. We would love to stay here again on our next visit to hawaii.
We enjoyed our stay at this condo that had all the features we needed. It’s a short walk to an ABC Grocery store and Waikiki beach is just out the backdoor of the facility. We enjoyed eating breakfast while watching the beach wake up and beautiful sunsets from the lanai in the evening. We could walk to many locations near Waikiki Beach and take a short bus ride to shopping at the Ala Moana center and hiking at Diamond Head.
Room is quiet, with a great view. It came with dishes and pots and pans to our surprise. Wifi is free also. The pool next door is very nice. Will stay there again on our next trip.
Everything was as described. Comfortable, clean, great view, and well appointed. The owner provided excellent customer service and check in/out was a breeze. As an extra, you get to use the adjacent Outrigger Reef Beach Resort Hotel. Amenities include - pool & facilities. We had a great stay and look forward to going back!
Highly recommend, best location, close to shops and restaurants. Magnificent views, enjoy the fireworks on a Friday night from your own balcony. Easy smooth check in. Huge bonus being able to use the pool and facilities next door at the Outrigger Resort, not all condos offer this. Everything was great about this condo, and I will not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to all our friends.
My husband and I have been staying at the Waikiki Shores condos for the past 20 years. Have booked directly through Waikiki Shores, through the Outrigger Reef and directly with owners, which happen to be the better appointed units. This one has a fantastic location, closer to the ocean than to the noisy street and very well maintained. However, upon arrival we were asked to sign a second contract with the management representative and our credit card was charged a second deposit in an amount greater than was we were told. Over a week from that date, those charges have not been reversed. The representative did not return any of the several messages we left for him when issues like no toiletries available, the tv not working, wanting to ask for late check out, etc. I contacted the owner via email on day one but did not get a response. For these reasons we would not return to this condo.
I am currently staying in this unit and writing my review while sitting on the lanai enjoying the late afternoon sun. Everything about this unit is as shown, the views are amazing, there is always something to see going on. Freighters, cruise ships, sail boats, dinner cruise boats, parasailers, surfers, paddle boarders, planes, you name it it's there. Did I forget to mention the gorgeous sunsets and moon shining over the ocean. The mid week maid service was a nice surprise. The kitchen, though compact has everything you need to prepare meals. Location is perfect for walking to everywhere in Waikiki, city bus stop right outside the door. I can only find one fault with this condo, the views from the lanai are so amazing that I don't want to leave the room!
Nice condo in a great location. This condo had all amenities needed, however it lacked a bit of cleanliness. If you're staying within the downtown area, no car is really needed. Staff was friendly and helpful when called upon. Remember this is a condo you're renting and not a resort/hotel, so there could be renovations in progress in an adjacent condo. Starting at 8:15 AM we shared the noises of banging, hammering and a tile saw 3 out of our 5 mornings while we tried to enjoy morning coffee sitting out on the balcony. No work was done on the weekend. The extremely disappointing fact is these noises were coming from the condo directly above us which has the same owner as this one. You might think an owner would contact the guests previous to their arrival to let them know this would be going on or possibly give them another option of somewhere else to stay. We received neither. We booked this condo almost ten months ago and a little common courtesy from the owner would have been appreciated for our trip that we spent months planning!
For once there was no "fluffing" on the web. This lovely condo is the last building before the Fort De Russy park so there is a clear view of the park, the beach, the ocean, perfect sunsets and the Hilton Friday fireworks. Great night sleeps on the very comfortable king size bed, no problems with Wi-Fi, Color TV, cable with more channels than I can count, and we were able to do our own laundry. I have to admit we didn't use the kitchen (neither my wife or I cook on vacation!), but the fridge held our supply of beer, water and wine for the week. I was a little leery as I was a first time user of VRBO type service, but everything went perfectly. Great pre and post vacation contact with the owner and the Outrigger was fantastic at recognizing us a visitor. A couple of people had mentioned that there was a wait for an Outrigger employee to come and meet us for check-in and check-out, but really the wait wasn't any longer than waiting in line at a hotel (5-10 minutes) We loved being at this end of the beach. We found dining and shopping better than Waikiki Beach. Great restaurants for all budgets (Steak Shack, Yard House, Roy's, The Ocean House). It's a short walk to the Hilton Village (3 hotels over) if you want to try their restaurants or their lagoon. The beach was a little rocky so I wouldn't recommend it for people who like to wade in the shallows. My wife had to wear her reef shoes, but I was fine in bare feet. I was also a little disappointed that the Sheraton Board walk was closed when we were there, so getting to the rest of Waikiki beach required us to go via the street or navigate the Sheraton property. We were there for 6 nights and we were able to use our feet for everywhere in Waikiki, the Bus for everywhere in Honolulu (Pearl Harbour included) and rented a car for 2 days to see the rest of the island. We used Enterprise at the Outrigger without any issue. A little more pricy than other options, but it was so convenient it was worth the extra money. All in all an excellent week's stay in Waikiki!
Wow....can't express in words how much we enjoyed our stay. Such a great condo....updated kitchenette, luxurious bed, great lanai....the location couldn't have been better. This is the epitome of Waikiki Beach!! The views from the lanai are absolutely breathtaking...some of the best pictures of our entire trip! The attention to details are what we most appreciated....little things like laundry soap and dish soap provided...this means more than you can imagine! We would absolutely love to stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone that is considering Waikiki Beach!! You will not find a better condo nor a better location anywhere!! This will definitely go down in history as one of our very best vacations!! Mahalo!!
